What is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is the number one place for people like you and me to learn about affiliate marketing. WA was founded by Kyle and Carson over 18 years ago and it is still going strong. They have changed it, improved it and moved the platform continuously forward as they strive to make it the only platform you need to succeed!
So, what does the Wealthy Affiliate platform give you?
The tools you need to create an online business that can help you become your own boss. There is the main training program to get you started, the Online Entrepenuer Certification. This has 5 levels and several tasks within each level to complete. It basically takes you from having nothing to a fully functioning website that’s ready to make money.
Then there’s the Affiliate Bootcamp. This takes you deeper into affiliate marketing giving you more advanced knowledge and helping to take you up a level. There are seven phases in this programme, each one designed to give you the right tools to really make a success.
You also get classrooms, live training, blogs to help you and much more. It really is an all in one solution! I might be biased here as I have tried several different affiliate programs and none of them come close to this one.
The WA community
There’s nothing quite like it! With over 2.5 million members it is one of the biggest online communities out there. You can talk to any of the members using live chat. Private message people, read and respond to their blogs. You can also write your own blogs and follow people who inspire you.
There is always someone around who can help with a question or give advice when it is needed. Kyle and Carson often pop up in live chat as well. It is truly an amazing place where I have personally made friends with people I have never met.
What else is there?
A top-notch training programme and a friendly, supportive community are the heart of WA. The engine room is Site Support. If anything goes wrong with your website they will be there to help you. And, these guys and gals are quick as lightning resolving your issues. After all time is money!
Then there is the website builder. Using WordPress as the base, you can choose from over 3,000 themes to make your website original, beautiful and completely your own. Easy to follow instructions and no coding experience needed, it really couldn’t be easier!
Research
There is still more to tell you about and one of those things is the research platform. This is called Jaaxy and it helps you choose the right keywords for your posts/blogs so that you can reach the right people. It’s a fantastic tool of its own and you can get access to it through WA.
Keywords are essential for drawing in traffic to your website. The more traffic you get to your site, the more potential customers you have! You can learn all about keywords by joining WA. If you already have a website and you want to give Jaaxy a try then click the banner below.
There is also a place for you to go and join affiliate programs. In the promote section of WA you can search for programs related to your niche. That way you can use these to make yourself some cash! It’s unreal how much is on offer here and you can even try out WA for free!
Wealthy Affiliate, for free?
That’s right, free! Now, I’ll be honest, the free trial is just that. You get 5 lessons and the opportunity to learn a bit more about affiliate marketing and about WA. It’s a great way to have a look around, put the feelers out, talk to some members and see what WA is all about. Call it a small taster of what is available, if you will.
Let’s have a look at what you get as a free member and as a premium member.
That’s quite a lot for $0 a month!! And that’s not all there is!
With premium you do get so much more and the best thing…. There are no added bundles. That’s right. You pay $49 a month and not a penny more! Wait, apologies but you do have to pay for your own domains. Well, only if you want a .com, .net or .org etc domain!! You can also transfer an existing domain over to Wealthy Affiliate, for free.
No BS!!!
No BS at Wealthy Affiliate, that’s a guarantee! You get a lot of so called Guru’s out there offering to make you rich. You pay a measly amount to get in, say $10 and then you get a video and a basic training plan. But, if you want to get more, earn more and fulfill your goal, you need to pay $xxx to enable you to unlock this potential.
This is a well-known way of hooking people in. Offer something free, like a book or a training plan, get them in and then POW! To get access to the next level, pay $299 a month etc… It’s called MLM or Multi Level Marketing and it is big business. There are some genuine ones out there. I will let you know which ones are scams and which ones are genuine!
At WA you get the free starter plan, the premium plan and the premium plus. The value you get back from these, especially the premium and premium plus is unreal. As you can see above, the benefits of being a premium plus member (which I am) is absolutely amazing.
Conclusion
In my humble, personal and fully biased opinion, Wealthy Affiliate is absolutely the number one place to be if you want to build a successful online business. If you want to earn money for the long term, not just a quick buck, then this really is the place for you.
Make no mistake, this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You have to put in the time and effort to make it work. Follow the training, apply it to your business and continue to work on it. Eventually you will reap the rewards and start to earn the income you can only dream of.
Imagine that you work on your business for a couple of hours a day, or less. You can work from anywhere in the world as long as you have the internet and you can afford luxuries that you never thought possible. You can spend that quality time with your family and be free from the boss. Be your own boss and join Wealthy Affiliate today.

Affiliate Marketing is for sure one of the subjects that is underestimated. Wealthy Affiliate is the best tool for it. When my friend first told me about it, I was so interested. And now, every day, I gain more and more helpful information than before. I also get motivated to build my business mainly because of the healthy, professional community that WA is helping to thrive. WA’s tools are remarkable, and no other affiliate marketing company could even come close!

I am newly retired, and my wife and I have been looking for a small business that we can operate together as a team to supplement our retirement. We have heard about affiliate marketing but never really understood it until this article which clarified a lot for us.
Once again, thank you you’ve certainly made a decision easier. One question though, can we work this with another small business we have — an Amway MLM program?

Hi Mike, thanks for your comment. Affiliate Marketing is only going to grow so you have definitely made a good choice by deciding on this as a business decision.
I didn’t realise Amway was still going!! I tried it many years ago in the UK but it didn’t suit me. I’m sure they have changed the way they do things to fit in with the current climate though!
The answer to that question is a simple yes! You can run each business by spending small amounts of time on each one. As your Affiliate business grows you might want to split the tasks between yourself and you’re wife but it all depends on what you want to achieve!
